2006 Goal Setting, Other Stuff
I've also bought a giant cork board to thumb-tack inspirational articles right in front of my desk. I'll start putting up quotes, articles, pictures or anything that inspires me to work harder.

I think a great financial move I've made is splitting my money into separate accounts. It really shows how much money I have for what purpose. I had too much cash sitting in my extremely low-yield permanent savings account (aka "No Risk" account), so I maxed my Roth IRA for the year by adding $2,000 to it, and threw $1,000 into an EmigrantDirect savings account.
I also recently opened up a 2nd Spending Account specifically for the holidays and larger purchases. I noticed every holiday season is much more expensive than other months, so I've been stashing a little money each week for a couple of months and built up around $800 for gifts and other holiday expenses.
It makes me feel good that I can buy gifts for family and friends without worrying about prices.

The second scooter I bought has recently been fully registered and is now actually legal to drive. Almost immediately after I bought it, I got a ticket for driving with: No insurance, No inspection and No registration.
I've also got two parking tickets, each $50 a piece. In relation, it takes me $3 to fill an entire tank of gas.

Despite $700+ extra dollars of additional costs (Not counting helmet, gloves etc), I have been able to easily absorb these costs thanks to my "Bills Account."

Visit GoDaddy.com and see if yourname.com is available. If yes, buy it. I don't know why, but it just seems a good idea. It costs $9 or less per year. NevilleMedhora.com redirects to my original webpage, http://www.neville1.com/. Having a website throughout the years has really helped me in many ways.

Currently you get a free whoisguard subscription with every new domain, which you can then use to protect your private information from showing up on a whois search.
That's a great way to waste more money. It seems you still have a lot of growing up to do. You have a responsibility to obey the law, and as long as you don't, I hope you continue to get tickets until your license is suspended and your vehicle rests in waste.
How arrogant and disrespectful of you to say that you will ignore traffic laws designed not for your convenience but for the safety of your fellow citizens simply because you "disagree" with them. Grow up.
PS: I'm not one of the usually antagonistic anonymous posters. I usually find your posts enjoyable, but you've fallen mightily in my eyes.
I find it humorous that he whines about pinching pennies, but has already blown $300 on tickets.
What a shmuck.
It's right there in the license manual.

Nev keep up the good work I like your stuff.
I am curious, when you mention that you maintain separate accounts, are you referring to different checking accounts? Or do you maintain one or two sweep accounts, and separate the accounts out on your own via a spreadsheet or other method? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I respect your insight and the service you are providing the public! You are one cool dude!!

I usually use GoDaddy for registering a domain, but I have a dedicated server for hosting all my domains.
Gualberto,
Much of my money is in stocks, however I've known many people to lose massive amounts of their networth in stock. Supposing the worst happens, I will always have cash in my low yield investments. I like risk, but I think it's also neccessary to be somewhat conservative.
Jonathan Hartman,
Right on.
Anonymous,
When I say splitting my accounts, I literally mean I have a different account. I generally keep over $500 in each account in order to avoid monthly fees.
Michael Patzer,
I've been holding DYN for a long time now. Yes, they are heavily in debt after the whole Enron thing, but they have been trying to turn that around, with relative success.
I usually do all my own research, as I've never had much success taking reccommendations from other people....especially from stock gurus.
However, it is being considered for legalization by the Texas legislature, as it is legal in many other states. You should hob-nob with some state officials like you do with businessmen, and get that fixed =)
Spare me. Breaking traffic laws because one doesn't have the patience to obey them has nothing to do with being an entrepreneur. It has to do with being an immature, impatient brat who doesn't have the sense to not risk throwing away money to pay traffic violations.
A mature, responsible adult -- especially one with any business sense -- leaves enough time between commitments to reach his or her destintation safely and legally. Don't conflate entrepreneurialism with disrespect for the law and the safety of one's fellow citizens.
Your analogy is flawed. The entrepreneur doesn't take the beans that don't belong to him and move them somewhere he doesn't have permission to.
The entrepreneur grows his own beans, does what he wants with them, and outperforms the company with the restrictive rules.
If your logic held up, corporate criminals who line their pockets by defrauding employees and shareholders are just "entrepreneurs" who are bending the rules to be personally successful.
As a motorcyclist, I can tell you with certainty that what you are doing is 'lanesplitting' and lanesplitting is illegal in all states except CA right now. The level of punishment will depend on the jurisdiction and the officer who observed you lanesplitting. Most will let you slide, at worst giving you a warning; others will write you up. Testing the waters is probably your best move. Ask other scooter riders also.
