A Rose by any other name….

17 Jun

There is me, Neville Medhora, and there is Enwon Inc.

Type “Enwon” into Google and it suggests searching for “Enron” instead. Yes, I am fully aware there is a phonetic similarity between the two names.

Enwon Inc. is a legal entity created to signify the doings of Neville Medhora. I like having a holding company to report earnings under. It may not be completely necessary now, but it will be in the future.

Enwon was created through the phonetic translation of the letter and number combination “N-1″ which was a shortened version of my first website: Neville1.com

It stuck.

I get asked all the time if I recognize the striking resemblence “Enwon” has to the scandal-stricken company “Enron”…yes, and I don’t mind it.

1.) People always take a second-glance at the name.
2.) After that second glance, people NEVER forget the name.

Is it a C corp or an S corp? You might be better off with an LLC, depending on the business(es) you plan on conducting through the entity and the tax responsibilities they carry. For example, a corporation can not have capital gain benefits from real estate sales, whereas an individual or an LLC can do so if it’s considered an investment.

      Anonymous,

      I think you mean “You’re
      a dumb shit”

      Arthur,
Enwon Inc actually is just an LLC. Yes, I realize I cannot call it “Inc” in that case….oh well!

You’re right, a C or S corp would not be advisable for someone in my current position.

Neville. I just stumbled upon your site and have read it almost entirely. I must say, you have a “gusto” or “moxy” for life that is rare in people your age.

You are disciplined in managing your money, yet willing to take risks (e.g. The lottery experient…how fun!)

Most wanna-be millionaires just want a ton of money with no hard work. I don’t see that mentality in you at all.

I have a feeling all your hard work, silly antics and determination will all culminate into a very comfortable life in your later years.

      Cheers!

      I love the idea.
Maybe you want to make a post of what brought you to incorporate this LLC.
      (besides the name similarities).

So did you set up an LLC with a lawyer’s help, or do it all yourself? Also, how long ago did you do this?
Do you get any tax advantages from your LLC currently?
