Inspiration and a Mercedes
20 Jun 8 Comments
I went to a wedding in Houston this weekend. There I met a friend who recently bought a Mercedes S55 AMG and a Mercedes SL600 (you read right: six hundred). Together these two cars cost well over $200,000.
I was tossed the keys to the S55 AMG and I played around in it.

I had been drinking, so the most I did was rev it up. There’s a very excited Neville inside that car:
As I came back to Austin on Sunday night, I posted up some quotes in my room. The wall to the left of my desk is now my “Motivation Wall”

There are also several quotes posted around random areas of my room, like near my mirror:

My favorite short quote on there is:
“I’m a great believer in luck,
and I find the harder I work,
the more I have of it”
–Thomas Jefferson
My favorite long quote on there is:
“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning a lion wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It doesn’t matter if you are a lion or a gazelle.
When the sun comes up, you better be running.”
–Taken from TheKirkReport.
-Nev

The flipside of the gazelle/lion quote is that when you go into the woods in bear country, you don’t have to outrun the bear. You just have to be faster than your slowest friend. Perhaps thee same is actually true for gazelles.

I like the AMG and SL600 too. I got my hands on the Corvette this weekend and it was fabulous.
Growing Money
yes, think faster and move faster
Your blog is just too f*cking cool! Imma add it to my feeds. Keep up the good work!!!
You have a great BLOG. Oh btw, I drove the AMG SL600 about a month ago and it was by far the most powerful car I’ve ever driven. Moving on, I love what you said about making your money work for you… And in the real world you better be the fastest because no one will care if you’re not the slowest, they’ll just know that you’re not the fastest. This is a great site that I have found most of my investment opportunities through, InvestmentConnection.com provides great interviews with some of the leading investment companies. Find out who’s behind these companies and what they have to say.

He spammed Smarty too – http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=11599905&postID=111886780065582427
I also walk past the Ferrari and Porsche shops in Tokyo, even though I am not interested in cars – I find the shops very inspiring.
About your long quote favorite: A lion generally sleeps about 20 hours a day, this perhaps proves his superior ability to survive. In 24 hours, he’s counting sheep for 20 of them, and works about 4 hours per day.
Nice blog.
