Red Light Photo Shoot

8 Sep 16 Comments

So I got another traffic ticket….except this time it was more high tech than all my previous ones:

One of those red light traffic cameras caught me running a light “slightly” after it turned red. To my defense, this particular light EVERYONE runs….although that excuse didn’t really help at court (seriously, I tried).

I must say, I’m a little jealous my ticket didn’t have a cool picture like David’s Viper. At least for the price of his ticket he got a nice, frameable picture!

From now on I’m only going to run red lights at scenic intersections.

Judge: Did you murder the victim?

    Accused: Yes. But only slightly.

I got one a year ago in Hamilton Ontario. These cameras are not so much for safety as they are for making money. If they wanted safety they could spend the money on lights that give a fair amount of time to make the intersection. Sometimes you are right at the light and either you go, or you get hit by the guy behind you if you break. I think there are better way to promote safety these cameras are a money making machine for the city and for the company that makes the equipment. If safety was an issue more warnings would be posted around dangerous intersections.

They don’t work. Look up the Mythbusters episode where they tested a bunch of them.

the camera will be up and running at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue and Sandy Lane. Motorists who are photographed running red lights at this intersection will be issued a citation.

These are for our own safety. Safety must be first. It’s better to be late than never. You should drive under your control.

I tell all of you about the red light photo shoot. When, we shop on the signals than, we see that many people don’t wait to the green light and run the cars. They break the signals. Some places don’t have signals so, it can make the cause of accident. There are for our own safety. Because, safety must be first.

Hi, I just ran a red light. I was coming back from Bay street from the stinky park and where bay turned into 1 way, I took right turn. Once I got to the intersection realizing theres flashes going off. It was 10:03PM precisely and I was extremely tired and no cars was running through there. I don’t want to pay 300+ dollars. Can someone advice me?
