It’s July 9th and I still haven’t posted my goals publicly??
BAD NEVILLE.
Anyhow, here they are (well, it’s just one):
Normally I have a maximum of three goals for the month….but this time I really have just one main goal for July 2012.
I’ll write more about what I mean by “produce” a product….as it’s a bit different this time.

New month, new goals!
Here’s mine for June 2012:
1.) I’m doing a KopywritingKourseKase Studies product where I’ll be re-writing copy for people across many different industries FOR FREE! ……so long as I get to use them as a case study.
If interested, you can signup here to be a case study and get your kopy re-written (I have a pretty good batting average at getting higher conversions).
2.) I had this one listed as a fun case study from last month (I’m going to validate a friends restaurant idea and see if they should add an additional taco truck). This stemmed from a lot of requests where people wanted to see a brick-n-mortar business validated.
I was a bit busy getting the AutoresponderKourse out the door in May, so this one fell behind to this month. Kind of appropriate for AppSumo to validate a TACO stand eh :-)
New Month = New Goalzz.
Here’s mine for May 2012:
1.) Taco Stand Validation:
From the SumoBusinessBlueprintLIVE, a decent amount of people wanted to know how to validate a PHYSICAL business. I always tell them:
“If it’s a physical business, you’ll usually have to do some physical validation”
So in true Sumo-style….I’ll be validating a TACO STAND! Details later :-)
2.) Course Reinforcement:
To make sure all my previous courses stay relevant and last a long time, I’m going through each of them and “cleaning things up” …or adding content if necessary.

This is the next course coming out called AutoResponder Kourse. It’s like an add-on course to the KopywritingKourse to show people the power of autoresponders (I realllyyy wish I knew about these when I was starting out).

FIRST GOAL.) This will be a followup course to the SumoBusinessBlueprint (which has turned tons of wantrepreneurs into real entrepreneurs that have DONE stuff).
I’ll actually be finding ideas, validating them before launching, then making money off them….and documenting the whole thing.

SECOND GOAL.) Signup for music lessons again.
I took guitar lessons (as my Aug 2011 goals stated) for about 2 months….and then my tutor moved away to Houston.
He was great…because he wasn’t classically trained, and he made all the complicated music theory VERY easy for my dumbass to understand.
I got SO much better at the guitar from those two months of instruction….so I’m going back again for more music lessons. Possibly a combination of vocal lessons with guitar lessons.
Oops….posting this a bit late in the month. But here are my goals for the month:
1.) Start posting Sumo Dojo videos every Friday. These are videos me and Noah make for AppSumo. There’s really no purpose for these other than they’re FUN TO MAKE and we get to answer everyone’s questions.
Soon we’ll have a page (like this I made 10 minutes ago) where people can view them on AppSumo. For now you can see some previous Sumo Dojo videos here.
2.) The next course I’m making is almost hilarious to me….but everyone keeps asking me the same question: How to make a course.
I’ve made some online courses that have done pretty well…..because they’re so damn helpful to the people taking them (like these two). So far three of my courses have done extraordinarily well, one was “alright”, and one totally flopped.
So the next one I make will actually be a course….ABOUT building a course! That sounds so cheesy….but now when someone keeps barraging me with questions about this, I can point them in one place.
3.) I’m learning to outsource stuff more often. Not necessarily overseas, but to people that can do stuff better than I can. For example, I did this today:
Instead of filming and editing an interview myself, I let a pro handle it.
He’s got amazing camera equipment and professional editing stuff. Plus he’s faster.
In this case it makes more sense to let him handle the filming, and I can just worry about being a pretty (ugly) face on camera.
The studio we were filming in was a warehouse-style space….these pictures look like we’re filming some terrorist ransom note….but the actual video turned out great :-)
Well….those are my goals for the month of January 2012….do you have YOUR goals set yet??
Think of a ship with the complete voyage mapped out and planned. The captain and crew know exactly where the ship is going and how long it will take — it has a definite goal. And 9,999 times out of 10,000, it will get there.
Now let’s take another ship — just like the first — only let’s not put a crew on it, or a captain at the helm.
Let’s give it no aiming point, no goal, and no destination. We just start the engines and let it go.
I think you’ll agree that if it gets out of the harbor at all, it will either sink or wind up onsome deserted beach — a derelict. It can’t go anyplace because it has no destination and no guidance. No goal.

1.) KopywritingKourse.com finish and sale.
I’m about a week or two way from finishing this course about copywriting. I’m proud that it’s turning out REALLLLLY good :-)
2.) It’s a secret ::shhhhhhhh::
3.) Re-do finance structure for personal and biz stuff.
I’m going to find a good accountant to make sure everything I’m doing now is structured correctly. I also want this person to do my taxes because I hate doing them plus I don’t know as much as a good acct would.
P.S. Speaking of the KopyKourse, look at the feedback I got today on my previous Behind The Scenes of a Muse course thingy I did:
……I mostly bought it because it said Tim Ferris and I was curious that he was releasing paid content online. I almost returned it when you guys sent out that email, and I never watched it until yesterday.
It is some of the best quality content I’ve seen. My cofounder for P——- is going to implement a product page on our site where we’ll sell and drop ship the products that’ve been included in our sampler box. I think it’s going to really help the business along, and it is being guided by Neville’s videos entirely.

Here’s the goal set for August 2011 (forgot to post the on the 1st..d’oh)!
1.) Signup for guitar lessons (again):
I already play the guitar as you can see:
…..but I wanna get BETTER! I’ve also become exceedingly spoiled with living downtown and not having to drive much…..so there’s no way in hell I’m going to drive to-and-fro to get lessons. This means I’ll have a tutor come to my apartment once a week.
The last time I went to guitar lessons I improved dramatically….so hopefully I can do the same, and pickup new styles of guitar too.
2.) The “Write-A-Book-In-Two-Weeks” Experiment.
For some reason I’ve always just wanted to publish a book for no reason other than “I think it’d be cool to say I wrote a book.”
I have no intention to make money off this book, nor do I care if it sells even one copy…..IN FACT this project is likely to just be a big damn waste of time. The only reason I can think of to spend the time doing this is :
“Cause it sounds cool” :-)
I’ll kick off the project mid-August. The goal will to “write a full book in 2 weeks” and get a printed copy of it.
I didn’t write it on this goal sheet…..but I also want to start automating HouseOfRave.com a little more.

So here they are:
1.) Starting work on KopywritingKourse.com (in fact I just put up a page). After the success of the copywriting video I did for AppSumo, it’s time to step that up a notch. I can’t believe how many people it’s already helped. The Kourse I’m throwing together will do an even better job.
2.) Action Video on AppSumo. I want to do another free Action Video like the copywriting one…except I’ll interview someone, instead of me getting interviewed.
3.) Two HouseOfRave giveaways.
I’ve got a bunch of product samples piling up in my closet and I need to get rid of them with my famous HoR Giveaways: Screenshot here.
Usually in the past this has worked very well because….well….how can I say this eloquently? –> People love free shit!

1.) The HoR Promo is a promotion I’m getting done for House Of Rave.
2.) The MBT goal is as you may remember MyBodyTutor. This is the company run by Adam that I used to get a six-pack in about a month.
Since it’s summer I want to do at least one “refresher” month. The last two months I’ve actually been trying to GAIN weight, now it’s time to shed some of that.
